A certain someone had won himself a detention in the previous session, and while Obi-Wan privately wondered if maybe he shouldn't have sent the child to Anakin... well, Anakin was Anakin.

Some punishments were better saved for harsher infringements.

At any rate, Obi-Wan sat waiting inside his office, a shovel resting neatly against the wall by the door. He had his eyes closed, caught up in meditation-- though by no means unalert about his environment.

It was customary to be in one's office during Parents Weekend, or so Obi-Wan had been told. So he had opted to do so.

When he got to the door of his office that morning, however, he felt the strangest sense of dread. For a moment, his hand hovered over the doorknob. "I have a bad feeling about this," he said.

He pushed. The door opened. A ridiculous burst of glitter hit him in the face. And the tunic. And the boots.

Students and teachers coming to visit would find Obi-Wan in the center of a glitter-filled room, his entire front covered in the stuff. Pinching the bridge of his nose.

There was no genuine reason why Obi-Wan should remain here: the earlier he departed, the less of a chance he would offer the island to drag him back in. But he had lingered for a while, and now it was Thursday, two days from Saturday, and Anakin had been on the island at least once in that time.

... He might as well stick around for a few days longer.

He rifled through what few things he had in this office. In all honesty he was here because it was quieter here than in the woods during the days the school was out of session. He'd already meditated peacefully for an hour. He'd put all of his effects back into some semblance of order. He'd...

...he was getting bored.

Maybe rearranging this stack of flimsi would help?

Probably not.

Obi-Wan had not held office hours in some time. With the weather turning downright pleasant for the eopies - ensuring that they didn't need his constant attention to ensure they wouldn't suffer discomfort - he was happy to let them out to roam the woods while he made sure his office hadn't been overrun by cobwebs yet.

(No, it was not.)

He made tea before sitting down-- nice and warm and soothing to his throat - and settled in to review his lesson plans for the upcoming class.

They couldn't get bogged down in lumber again, after all.

Obi-Wan had been careful not to move too much into his office, if simply because he had had little idea if he'd be staying for another semester. But his decision on that had now been made, and he could now spend the last day of this semester organizing the few items that had made it in here.

He'd be rifling through paperwork for most of the day, occasionally stopping to make notes for future consideration.

Perhaps he should bring some more light to the room. Add something that could boil water. And move in some instruction manuals for future classes. That would be useful.

It wasn't that Obi-Wan was unaware of what was going on on the island right now; even if he didn't make it a habit to listen to the radio each morning, there were suddenly a great deal more people running around the island than there usually were.

But since none of them appeared to be related to him, he was... unworried. He had brought the eopies back over the weekend, and he had decided to take today to clean up his office. Perhaps see if there was anyone who needed help of the ethical persuasion.

And if he had brought a bowl of candy just in case he needed to distract any children, well, that only seemed practical.

Obi-Wan almost hadn't gone to office hours at all. Not because it was difficult getting from his shack to the school at this present time, but because he had some worry the eopie shelter might not hold strong enough to keep the eopies warm.

He had eventually found a solution by covering the walls of the shelter with fabric and materials to isolate it further from the cold outside. But that meant he was late now, or at least later than he usually made it to his office. And rather than sit down and settle in for meditation, his first course of action was to get some tea made, and sit down to sip it.

It was nice and warm.

It might have been over a month now since he departed Tatooine, but the chill was still something he had to... adjust to.

Being a teacher at this school meant Obi-Wan had certain obligations to fulfill, and he intended to make his office hours one of them. He spent the morning clearing out some of the furniture so that he'd have more space on the floor. Once everything was set up to his satisfaction, he sat down.

Which was where he'd be the rest of the day: meditating.

Surely most visitors to his office would know to knock, and, well... a greater awareness of the Force would only be a boon where it came to Bob's rather unique visiting habits. He would be fine.

The island was remarkably quieter now than it had been Wednesday, nor did Obi-Wan have any further conversations with Anakin scheduled for the near future. That made it a calm morning; it also made it the first morning in three weeks where he was contemplating returning to Tatooine to check on Luke.

Another day, he'd decided. If he made too frequent a habit of those visits, Owen Lars might well keep him from the boy entirely. But not much later, either. So he'd spent the early morning making sure Rooh would be ready to carry him later on the weekend, and then he had decided to finally go see about this office he'd acquired.

It was sparse, but that was all right with him. The ancient-looking device on the desk held no particular interest. He'd have to bring a water boiling device of his own next week, since the tea he'd acquired had taken some searching.

But with said tea acquired, he could finally sit. In silence. Blessed, blessed silence.
