Office #8, Saturday

It was customary to be in one's office during Parents Weekend, or so Obi-Wan had been told. So he had opted to do so.

When he got to the door of his office that morning, however, he felt the strangest sense of dread. For a moment, his hand hovered over the doorknob. "I have a bad feeling about this," he said.

He pushed. The door opened. A ridiculous burst of glitter hit him in the face. And the tunic. And the boots.

Students and teachers coming to visit would find Obi-Wan in the center of a glitter-filled room, his entire front covered in the stuff. Pinching the bridge of his nose.

"The expedience was the only good thing about that mission," Obi-Wan said, shaking his head. "And it was the last time I let the Council volunteer me for anything involving fancy dress."

"I told you that was a bad idea," Anakin said.

Anakin was anti formal attire at all times.

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes. "While laughing unnecessarily much," he said. "Much like today."

"Well, my sense of humor hasn't changed," Anakin said, grinning. "You looked ridiculous then and you look ridiculous now."

"I had hoped you had learned to compose yourself over time," Obi-Wan said.

You know, like hiding the laughter behind a beard.

He scowled at the heap of glitter on his foot. "Can you at least get a broom?"

Anakin reached into the Force and lifted all of the glitter off the ground like the giant show-off Chosen One he was.

"Or this?"

Obi-Wan crossed his arms and raised his eyebrows. "And now what are you going to do with it?" he said. "Float an entire cloud of glitter through the hallways?"

"Or we could dump it out a window," Anakin said.

Hopefully not onto a guest.

"That's not much better," Obi-Wan said.

Patting the front of his robes so more of the glitter fell out.

"We can aim it at the squirrels," Anakin wheedled.

[saddeserthermit]

"I believe that's what we call animal cruelty," Obi-Wan said mildly, "...Though not entirely undeserving."

[sith_happened]

"They absolutely deserve it," Anakin said. "I'd aim for gremlins if I saw them too."

[saddeserthermit]

"Isn't there a disposal unit of some kind?" Obi-Wan asked, largely to distract himself from the part of his mind that was beginning to think this might be a good idea. "Surely we don't have to agitate the local fauna, though I presume that's a hobby of yours..."

"They started it," Anakin said immediately, "and yea, there's a disposal. My way's more fun, though."

[saddeserthermit]

"I know you have this enduring fued with the gremlins," Obi-Wan said, "Though I've never actually seen proof of it. Are you getting paranoid, Anakin?"

Anakin frowned at him. "I could drop all of this back on you," he threatened.

[saddeserthermit]

"Disposal," Obi-Wan said firmly.

[sith_happened]

"You are no fun at all," Anakin said.

[saddeserthermit]

"And you need to be more mindful of the wildlife."

[sith_happened]

Anakin rolled his eyes. "I'm extremely mindful of the wildlife," he said. "That's how I know I could hit them with the glitter."

[saddeserthermit]

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes. "Not the mindfulness I was referencing," he said. "I am very glad you were never inclined to keep pets." Besides the droids.
